In this blog post, I will be showing the post-production effects used to make my work. I will also be speaking about if they are effective techniques, and overall my strengths and weaknesses of my finalised product. Here, I have shown an example of a technique I used, to show how I edited these pictures in Lightroom. I changed the exposure and contrast for this picture to insert it into my final content page. I chose to do this as I thought it looked too bright and would go against my, already bright, colour scheme and clash heavily.  Here is my complete layout for my magazine. Here, I will be explaining my choices made and my design techniques for my magazine. For my front cover, I made all the choices with the idea that the maximum amount of people would be seeing this. Therefore, I tried to make it the most accessible and look visually pleasing. I chose to lay out all my cover lines with enough separation so that my audience can tell us one apart, and I used a white font as it g...

In this blog post, I will reflect on the materials I created for my magazine, and my reasoning for why I used them. For the process of writing my body copy, I chose to write my article on an interview with a fictional millionaire 14-year-old, and how sustainability, and her business are key parts of this. Originally, I was going to do just an article on sustainability however, it was pointed out to me by my teacher that the photoshoot and the article should have some relevance, so I decided to change it and accept this feedback. I wrote my interview by looking into what somebody who is in Sarah Masington's position would actually do and their motivations for helping the environment. I looked at Greta Thunberg specifically, as she is the closest one to this. I will share my original and my final article here, as I was still inspired by my original idea. This is my original article; from my original writing, I referenced some statistics and the ways that people can help the environme...

On this blog post, I will be showing my pre-production planning and show how it adds to my final product; I will also be justifying my decisions and explaining why I have done specific things. This is my location recce, as filming in a space requires me to add this. I made sure to fully think this through with the points of interest and the safety issues, which I also elaborated on below in my risk assessment. This is my risk assessment where I have looked at the specific risks in my house and made sure to counter it so my production won't have any interruptions, ad everybody can stay safe. These are things I will need to be mindful of in pre-production and production. This is my personal specific plan. I made this to keep myself accountable and make sure that I keep up to date with my deadlines. Here is my photography plan which details everything I will do to take pictures. Additionally, I also have a graphics plan where I have already planned out visually on my visualisation dia...

In this blog post, I will be sharing the sample materials I have made in order to support my proposal and show why it is an adequate plan for my production. This is the plan for my pictures, and with inspiration to match with it. Additionally, I also think that when using the model to take a picture with, I will frame it with the same angle that the Taylor Swift picture is on, with it being a close up that shows all the makeup and fashion that needs to be shown.  Here are my double page spread magazine examples; I collected these pictures to show what would be typical of a fashion/cosmetics magazine and how I can replicate that. Additionally, I have also made a visualisation diagram of what my layout will look like for these pages based on the magazine covers that I just looked at. In terms of the images that I have chosen to be inserted here, they are also going to be from the same photoshoot as my front cover will and I will take many alternate pictures for the front cover which ...
